Julia McKelvey is the founder and creative director behind Puppet Delight. 

Julia is a fully qualified and highly experienced Theatre teacher, (full DBS check available) storyteller, writer and puppet maker, whose work in schools and in the community has taken her from the UK to Kuwait, Jordan, Japan, Tanzania and Switzerland. During this time she has worked and studied alongside industry professionals, written extensively for children’s theatre, served as Drama Chair for the European Council of International Schools, conducted theatre workshops for parents and teachers, adapted the Greek classics and Shakespeare for middle schoolers and in addition to countless Drama curriculum performances, has directed, produced and designed over 35 full scale productions. She has taught all ages from 4-18 and is now offering workshops and classes in a range of puppet making styles.

Julia is currently based in Brighton, Sussex.
